What does it mean to dream of pregnancy (dream interpretation pregnant)

Dream interpretation pregnant

Dream interpretation on pregnancy.

Dreams in which you are pregnant can have several meanings, especially determined by whether you really are pregnant or not. If you are pregnant, it is very likely your thoughts, concerns, hopes, etc. in relation to becoming a mother. If you are not pregnant in reality, it is usually about something else, which is why men can also dream that they are pregnant.

Pregnant in dreams while you really are pregnant.

It has been scientifically proven that women who are pregnant dream immeasurably more about babies than they do when they are not pregnant. And it is perhaps not surprising considering how much upheaval it is to become a mother for the first time, but also the second or third time.

However, especially for first-time mothers, they experience nightmares filled with anxiety and worry, with questions such as, “Will I be a good mother?” or “Do I have what it takes?” The dream may also be about the pregnant woman’s changing body image, and it is not uncommon for the pregnant woman to deal with expectations for the child’s father in her dreams.

The dreams can in this way work as a kind of valve for all the feelings and thoughts of the waking life that might be kept low and that is exactly why dreams are a great starting point to discern what is actually happening in the woman with regards to ideas and concerns. Therefore your dreams may be an important tool in the prevention of mental complications after birth.

When trying to understand your dreams it is important to know that your dreams are… your dreams. As such, you are the best person to figure out the true meaning of your dreams.

However, it is important to learn how to generally approach your dreams. Dream dictionaries like this one are only a supplement, and if you want to fully utilize the potential of your dreams, you should start at a different place.

My online course “Unlock your DREAMlife” gives you a great foundation for understanding (and recalling) your dreams.

Pregnant in dreams where you in reality are not pregnant.

It’s quite a different situation if you dream that you are pregnant, but when you in reality are not! This means that sometimes dreams tell you that you are pregnant without you knowing about it, but often you’re expected to find out about it by absent menstruation, pregnancy tests etc.. So when you dream that you are pregnant and are not that – then there is usually something else at play. And here the amazing language of dreams comes to their might. In such a situation, a pregnancy reflects prospective projects, ideas, etc. as you go and “prepare to embark” with potentially new aspects of yourself. Therefore, a man also dreams that he is pregnant! This aspect – to dream you are pregnant when you actually are not – is also closely linked with dreams in which you give birth, or where babies appear – all the images on the new / potential sides of you – or more ideas that you bring into the world.

If you dream that you miscarry, then this dream can be a picture of the project/idea is lost. Finally, there may – with Freudian glasses – also be the case that you – if you are a woman – really want to be pregnant – that it is a wish for you.

Even I dreamt that I was pregnant – and I gave birth through my stomach / belly button! Very funny experience especially since I’m a man 🙂 But it was all while I was going through major changes in my life and many ideas for what I should be “when I grow up” were born. What about you – have you dreamt that you were pregnant when you were not? Please write in the comment box below.

Dream dictionaries are a very helpful tool when interpreting dreams. However, generally learning how to approach your dreams, will give you a better foundation for understanding them. My online course “Unlock your DREAMlife” teaches you how to much better utilize – recall and understand – your dreams.

NOTE: Dreams are 100% individual, and when you dream about pregnancy, it’s almost certainly about something else for you than it is for your friend, who also dreamt about pregnancy.
Dream interpretation / dream analysis is sometimes a difficult art, and a particular interpretation of a dream is only correct if you feel “affected” by it. Therefore, it is not certain that the above mentioned interpretations are relevant to you.
