Dream interpretation of an ex
Dreams about an ex – what does it mean?
Dream interpretation of an ex.
Many have tried it: to dream about an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend (or ex-husband/wife) and then wake up and wonder if they still have a hidden/unconscious desire for them to come back into their lives. Sometimes this can of course be the case, but mostly it’s about something else.
Dreams about an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend can be an image on a side of yourself you may neglect (or have good contact with).
When you dream about your ex, it does not mean that you are still strongly attached to him or her. Often it will be about your (inner) relation to that side of yourself that your ex represents. For example, an ex-boyfriend may represent the male side of yourself (if he was a man) – or the female side (if she was a woman). A dream about your ex can also tell you something about your relationship to men/women in general.
But it can also be about some properties/characteristics; Perhaps you remember your ex as being very creative, organized, or whatever it may be – and the dream points towards this since you may need to pay more attention to these sides yourself and live them out more often. The way you interact with your ex in the dream may then say something about how you relate to these aspects of yourself – if you treat them badly /well? Is there a good / bad relation to these sides of yourself?
Dream about an ex as a picture of an unfinished relationship/still existing feelings.
Finally, there may of course also be the case that you are still carrying around a lot of feelings for your ex, and it is important that you pay attention to these feelings in order to determine which interpretation may be the right one.
NOTE: Dreams are 100% individual, and when you dream about an ex, it’s almost certainly about something else for you than it is for your friend, who also dreamt about an ex.
Dream interpretation / dream analysis is sometimes a difficult art, and a particular interpretation of a dream is only correct if you feel “affected” by it. Therefore, it is not certain that the above mentioned interpretations are relevant to you.
